Description
Reissue of "Ultrasónica," the album by Piratas recorded in 2001 at the French studio du manoir, produced by Juan Luis Giménez, Vicente Sabater, and the band itself, marked the group's opportunity to showcase their enormous potential to a wider audience. The lineup led by Iván Ferreiro and Fon Román was in a state of grace and stood out with their most multifaceted work musically. Songs like "el equilibrio es imposible," "jugar con los coches," "caótico neutral," and especially "años 80" gave them the chance to maintain their creative independence without giving up mass audiences. Without being alternative enough for the indie scene nor commercial enough for the mainstream charts, Piratas found their own path to reach thousands of fans who didn’t need to label them.
