Jardines contemporáneos
Contemporary Gardens presents 300 exceptional gardens in more than forty countries. Created in collaboration with an international team of landscape experts, this volume brings together iconic public gardens such as the High Line and the Changi Airport Garden, along with unique private spaces like the hillside garden in Morocco designed by Umberto Pasti, or the elegant garden of Anna Wintour in upstate New York, created by Miranda Brooks.
With careful design and magnificent illustrations, the book celebrates each garden through large-format images accompanied by detailed descriptions. Readers will discover the work of prominent designers and landscape architects such as Fiona Brockhoff, Dan Pearson, Sarah Price, and Bernard Trainor, along with projects from emerging studios and new voices in contemporary landscaping.
Organized alphabetically by designer or studio, the tour reveals a surprising variety of styles: naturalistic, community, wild, urban, botanical, dry, topiary, minimalist, edible, floral, and more. The collection reflects how current horticultural aesthetics continue to evolve and strengthen our connection with the natural environment.
Selected designers include Marian Boswell, Sam Cox, Erik Dhont, Isabel Duprat, Luciano Giubbilei, OLIN, Piet Oudolf, Reed Hilderbrand, Amalia Robredo, and Tom Stuart-Smith.
Featured gardens include the African Ancestors Memorial Garden, Chihuly Garden & Glass, Gardens by the Bay, High Line, Hunting Brook Gardens, Jardins d’Étretat, the Native Plant Garden at the New York Botanical Garden, the Opera Park, as well as numerous private gardens.
The volume also includes contributions from specialists such as Richard Aitken, Matthew Biggs, Matt Collins, Sorrel Everton, Joanna Fortnum, Clare Foster, Noel Kingsbury, Stephanie Mahon, Tovah Martin, Michael McCoy, Colleen Morris, Paul Redman, and Tony Spencer.
